I sometimes try to be ambitious. French Croissants baking was me trying to do just that.


When I worked at my previous job, I would stop by Salento or Croissant Brioche for my morning fuel. Since I no longer work there, I still want their delicious croissants! They were huge, fluffy and flaky.


I can totally just make them!


Not so much. Above is my first attempt to make croissants from scratch. Not too shabby for my first try, but definitely no where close to the French.


Should you feel ambitious too, just pull out your trusty Joy of Cooking and block out about 6 hours of your day and bake away!
